Did you know Kareena Kapoor Khan rejected these two blockbuster films?
Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan is undoubtedly one of the finest actresses of Bollywood. The 37-year-old diva has a good amount of blockbusters to her credit, including films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Jab We Met, Bodyguard, 3 Idiots and many more. Interestingly, she was one of the most successful actresses of the industry who maintained her stardom even after marriage. But did you know Kareena Kapoor Khan rejected two big-budget films, which turned out to be huge commercial successes?
Can you guess the two films? Well here’s a hint, both the films star Deepika Padukone as the female lead. Still can’t get it? The answer is Chennai Express and Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela. Yes! Both these blockbusters released in 2013 and turned out to be huge money-spinners at the box office. In fact, Chennai Express still remains Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest hit till date. On the other hand, Ram Leela established Ranveer Singh as one of the leading stars in the industry and gave Deepika Padukone her first Filmfare best actress award. Apparently, the actress had rejected both the films due to date issues, but we don’t think the actress has any regrets about her decision.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Veere Di Wedding has just last Friday and has opened to a phenomenal response. The film also stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and co-produced by Ekta Kapoor. Kareena might also star Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming Salute. The film is the biopic of Indian Astronaut Rakesh Sharma. It is set to go on floors once SRK wraps up Zero.
