Urmila Matondkar I love the way Deepika Padukone has evolved as an actor

Urmila Matondkar made the ’90s look stylish and fun. Her moves in all the Rangeela songs are still legendary. Our favourite, however, is the Tanha tanha track from the film. The actress has never looked so hot in any other movie. She made a quite a disappointing comeback after so long with an item song in Blackmail called Bewafa beauty. It didn’t really do justice to Urmila, who is known for her dance numbers. But that’s old story… in a recent interview Hindustan Times, the actress revealed as to who she admires in the current lot of actresses. Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Kangana Ranaut are the names that she took and also explained why.

Speaking to the daily, Urmila said, “I’ve love the way Deepika (Padukone) has evolved as an actor over the years. From where she has started to where she has reached, she has tried to do different kinds of roles. The range has been fantastic. Alia (Bhatt), of course, is lovely. Even Kangana (Ranaut) has done phenomenal work. She becomes the character she plays.” Urmila is really happy with the way Bollywood has shifted its focus to content. She added, “Different kinds of movies are being made and they’re doing good business. It’s changed a lot and for the better. This whole thing that movies are not being made for heroines solely is also not prevalent anymore.
